Map Editor.jpg
Topic: Maps
Difficulty: Easy
Tools: Map Editor

This tutorial will teach you how to set up the map editor to be able save maps. It assumes that you have enabled the developer console. (More info here)

1 Map Editor Folders.jpg Navigate to either:
  • Retail: Program Files (x86)/Euro Truck Simulator 2 or Program Files (x86)/American Truck Simulator
  • Steam: <steam_directory>/SteamApps/common/Euro Truck Simulator 2 or <steam_directory>/Steam/SteamApps/common/American Truck Simulator

Create a new folder called base and in there, a folder called map.

2 Simple cube console.jpg Open the game and in the console type edit.

Note: If you want to edit an already existing map, type edit MAP_NAME. Where MAP_NAME is the name of the map without the .mbd extension.

3 Map Editor.jpg If done correctly the editor will be able to save maps.
